SSH Telnet in Shared Hosting
If the shared hosting package that you’ve chosen through the signup procedure includes SSH access as standard, you shall be able to activate this function with just a mouse click from your Hepsia Control Panel. In case you have selected a different plan, the SSH access feature can be included via the Upgrades menu and it shall become available at once. The information that you need to connect shall be conveniently listed in the SSH section of the CP - the hostname, the username and the port number. You can even set what password to use from the same spot and you'll be able to modify it at any time. All of the commands which are permitted are listed in the Help articles that we have prepared for you, along with examples of the syntax that you must use. An additional advantage of allowing SSH access to your account is that you'll be able to upload files via an SFTP connection.
SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company, you'll be able to obtain SSH access to it with a click from the corresponding section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which comes with all accounts. If your package doesn't support this feature by default, you will be able to include it easily via the Upgrades menu. As soon as you go to the SSH section, you shall find the details that you need to connect to the server using a command line or a desktop application - the server/host, the port number, the username and the password. The latter can be updated anytime, if required. These login credentials are also needed if you want to upload files through a secure connection and you would like to use SFTP, which is also part of the SSH access service which we provide. A thorough list of the commands you can execute will offer you a better idea of what tasks you can perform in your account and each is accompanied by a couple of instances of the syntax.
SSH Telnet in VPS Servers
All our VPS server offers feature SSH access as standard, so you won't have to include any upgrades or enable anything - as soon as the server is set up and you receive its login details, you will be able to connect via its primary IP address and the login credentials that you have chosen throughout the signup procedure. As the VPS accounts come with full root-level access, there aren't any restrictions in terms of the commands that you can run. Your server will be isolated from the others on the physical machine, so you shall be able to manage pretty much everything via a command line, including server-side software installations and reboots. This way, you may work with your files, databases and any applications that you install in a fast and secure way.
