In case you want to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will need a unique code, which may be referred to by multiple names – an EPP authentication code, an AuthInfo code, a domain password, and so on. All these names refer to the same thing – a code that the domain registrant receives from the current domain name registrar and provides to the new one during the order process. Without a valid code, a transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the safety mechanisms against unsanctioned transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For even better safety, the code comprises of numbers and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you want to transfer one of your domains, you have to present the new domain name registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting

You can get the EPP transfer authorization code for any domain name that you have registered through our company with just a few mouse clicks from the exact same Hepsia Control Panel that you will use to manage your shared hosting account. Once you go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all your domain names neatly displayed in alphabetical order. In case some TLD extension supports transfers between domain name registrars with an EPP transfer code, you’ll notice an EPP button on the right side of the given domain name. If you click on that button, the code will be emailed to the email associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain. If needed, you can update the contact details, including the email address, without needing to leave this section of the Control Panel, in case the current email is not valid anymore.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you’ve registered a domain that you want to transfer, you can obtain the EPP transfer authorization code unbelievably easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer both your domain names and your account. If you visit the Registered Domains section, you’ll see an EPP sign to the right of your domain names, provided that their TLD extensions support transfers between domain registrars with such a code. All codes are sent automatically by our system to the registrant’s email to ensure that only the owner of the domain name can obtain this information. In case the current email is no longer valid, you can edit it with a few mouse clicks without needing to leave this section of the Control Panel. The change is instantaneous, so you will be able to request the EPP transfer code for the particular domain name right away.
