A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you remove an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital if you are running a company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam email messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Configuring a catch-all email mailbox will be surprisingly easy if you’ve got a shared hosting with us. You can activate this feature through our powerful, yet intuitive Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your hosting account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up listed in alphabetical order and next to each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly let you know if a certain mailbox gets all the messages pertaining to a certain domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you wish. In case there is active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will get a warning note from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than one click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the addresses that you set up using any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this option will be to click on that icon. In the exact same manner you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, in case you do not need it any longer. Our system will warn you in case you are attempting to enable a second catch-all mailbox for a particular domain name or if there’s activated email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or modify anything automatically or without your consent.
